Water War

After a Barbecue at Great Grandma Cluff's house we went home and had our own water war. And to try out some things that we bought to use at the family reunion.
Andrew thought that the sprinkler was cool because it would float the balls.

Ryan liked the soaker tubes.

And Foster, Lilly and Abigail took cover in the baby blow up pool and would squirt dad when he wasn't looking.

P.S. I just put up a lot of posts so make sure you scroll down to see all of them!

Fun at the splash park

After the cemetery, we were all hot so we stopped by the splash park since we were right there to see if the water was running.

It was so everyone got soaked!

Foster was the only on with patience enough to put on sunscreen and get his swim suit on.

Abigail was first to say she was cold and wanted her towel, big surprise.

Binghampton Cemetery

So as an annual tradition on Memorial Day, the Cluff family goes to the cemetery early in the morning to clean up grave sites and visit (show) grandpa Cluff's grave site. Here are some of the pictures. My niece Natalyn, that is the same age as Foster, holding flowers.

My nephew Ethan, held by April my sister.

The Cluff plot.

All the girls that were there. My aunt JoAnne, April, Lilly, Grandma Cluff, Natalyn, Patricia, Abigail, and me.

Ahh...Sweet Sunday

So being as creative as I could get (actually forced because I have given up grocery shopping and we didn't have anything to eat!) I decided to make our own version of little Debbie cupcakes. I used a piping bag and pumped cool whip into the center. They were a hit and as a added bonus the cool whip made up for me forgetting to get them out of the oven on time (they were a little on the dry side). They were so good we couldn't stand to eat just one!

More Weddings

Memorial day weekend is a popular time to get to married I guess because we had two booked. So most of Ryan and my brother Tyler's Saturday was filled with moving ladders, spreading tulle, fixing lights, and making everything look lovely.

The First Official Summer Night

So I think the thing the kids have been looking forward to the most is not having to go to bed by 7:30. So here is what happened when we let them stay up on Friday night. I think the time was 8:00pm?!

It looked like a sleeping bomb had gone off in the house. Oh well they have all summer to practice staying up late.

Even Andrew didn't last very long, and I am not sure why everyone fell asleep on the couch, we weren't watching any TV.

Kids Can Fall Asleep Anywhere!

Yet another installment of my favorite subject. We have been spending a lot of time at my mom's house with selling ours and Foster decided to have a nap. He is laying on one of the tables in my mom's school room while the other kids watch a movie. Don't worry after I took the picture I put him on the couch so he didn't have a rude awakening!

Andrew's Quilt

We had to take a picture of Andrew's quilt that Dad dug out of the garage from a box (again!), when Andrew decided that he wanted to give it to his teacher Mrs. Urbalejo on the last day of school.

He was very proud of his work that he did all himself on many Sunday afternoons!

Kindergarten Graduation

So Abigail finally had her turn on the stage. After being to numerous class, choir, and talent concerts at the school, she finally had her turn. What was so funny about it if you know Abigail is that she had this smile on her face the whole time. It did matter where she was looking or what she was doing, she was grinning from ear to ear. Both Ryan and I looked at each other longingly and wished that we had a video camera to capture it. A friend remarked to me that it took her so long to find Abigail on the stage because she had never seen her smile so much. She did more smiling in that hour than her whole life I think. It was probably that her teacher Mrs. Hicks told all the kids to smile when they were on stage so that their parent could take pictures and Abigail took her very seriously!

Mrs. Dabney handing her a diploma. Notice the big girl dressy shoes.

Abigail and Phoenix, her buddy who was in a different class than her this year.

Mesquite Talent Show

Here are pictures from the end of the year blast which included a talent show. Andrew played the "Unknown Song" and Lilly was part of her class performing "Busy Bees". She learned the whole song in sign language and performed while everyone else sung and ran around. It was lots of fun! Aren't my kids talented!

Unicorn Boy

So it turns out my child is growing a horn in adolescence. Not really but that's what it looked like on Thursday. He was playing flag football and collided with another boy in his class. Andrew, I guess, has the harder head because the other boy went home early from school but Andrew was "fine", direct quote.

Hello World

So after our exciting news the whirlwind happened. In one week we did everything that we wanted to do to the house in the last 8 years that we have lived there. No matter how clean I think I had everything, the house went through a bunch on mini explosions. Then the next day I was in charge of cleaning it up and putting the house back together before the next explosion. So with the help of a small army of family and friends we finally made the deadline and had the pictures taken. I wish I would have taken before and after pictures because the transformation was so dramatic, but oh well.
Well as my life goes I am really good at pulling through until the job is done but after that all bets are off. The day after we put the house on the market I got the flu. IT WAS NOT FUN. Then Ryan left for Boston. I kind of felt like a pioneer wife driving my husband to the airport with a fever. I kidded with him that I would sell the house and move to the new house before he got home, but that never happened either, oh well. I survived the week, Ryan made it back home safely and now I am almost back to normal (all but my voice). Here are some pictures that I took of our "new" house after all the work.
