I couldn't help myself from taking this picture. Foster has taken a liking to caring baby dolls over his shoulder and patting them on the back. Monday afternoon when I noticed that I hadn't seen Foster in a while I asked around and eventually found him in my bed like this.

The Joys of Potty Training!
Spring break. Lots of fresh air. Trips to the park and museum. Hiking. That sounds like fun doesn't it? Well that was the exact opposite of our spring break. We stayed in doors, tied to a timer that would beep every 15 minutes. The first week didn't go so well. But we persisted Foster and I and had our breakthrough last Tuesday. Foster went potty in the toilet all by himself without me even knowing it. Yea!! Yesterday we had our number two breakthrough after reading him three books sitting on the kitchen floor, it was tough but we did it. I know that this is just the beginning of the road but we are on our way. It is a silly thing to get excited about but if you've been there you all know what I mean!
This was our first accident but a step in the right direction. Unfortunately it was a huge coincidence that he happen to be next to the potty when it happened.
At first I moved aside the table and took all the toys onto the kitchen floor to minimize accident on the carpet. I know, I know wishful thinking. He also didn't like the idea of going around naked, none of the other kids minded at all.
Next we tried bringing the potty to where ever I was. He would sit on the potty watching TV. He would sit in the den by the computer. He would sit in the kitchen while we made lunch or dinner. That in itself was a big deal because at the beginning he was afraid to sit on the toilet or little potty. I would just remind myself "Baby steps, baby steps..."
It finally turned out but I'll save you from that image.
It's A Girl!
So our sonogram was last week and we found out that we are having a little girl. I will get to have another one between 28-32 weeks because of a moderate placenta previa but hopefully that will not be a problem later. We are all excited and the kids are arguing about who's room she will sleep it, I think they don't know what they are getting into!

Sunday Evening Concert
Doors
Doors, Doors everywhere! I am the happiest homemaker in the world. Ryan with the help from his dad this weekend finished all the doors in the house. Now we have doors to cover up all the jam packed shelves. Hopefully the TV will also be out of sight and out of mind. Yea Ryan!!! Happy Anniversary to me.
L.A. Dinning
L. A. Dinning stands for (Lilly and Abigail, of course, says Lilly). We moved the play kitchen into the family room where they really will play with it and this is what happened. They have been playing with it everyday. Creating menus and even a drive through. I just need to have them make there food with real food and I'll have it made!
Bird in the House...Again!
We have a small gap where our screen door does not touch anything on the bottom. It does great at letting a draft in when it is nice weather but unfortunately it also lets other critters in. This bird took a while to shoo out of the house. It first flew straight into our back window and stunned itself. That's when I ran to get the camera. The bird then decided to check out our den, and then kitchen while I was chasing it with a broom above my head trying to direct it toward the door. It was a fun 10 minutes but I don't want to do it again.
Tulips
I had to take a picture of the beautiful flowers that Ryan got for my after our conversation. It all started when I bought a big vase at Micheal's thinking if you build it they will come. And sure enough they did. But every week or so I would get red roses. After they would wilt and die I would throw them out and clean the vase and set it right in the middle of the island waiting for the next batch. But again they would be red roses. So then I mentioned to Ryan that although I loved the red roses that he would get all the time for me I didn't mind having an alternative flower or mix of flowers that were less expensive. So that very next time he brought me Tulip which I never have had before and they were beautiful. I love my husband, he is the best, sorry to everyone else but it is true!
Loads of Laundry
I had to document how many loads of laundry pile up at my house. It's not my favorite job in the world. I am better at doing the laundry than folding it and putting it away. Anyways this was about ten loads that I had done over a couple of weeks and had been stashing in my bedroom. I found myself going to bed later and later at night because I just didn't want to face the mess. What was worse is that no one noticed that I had those clothes! So I have decided that the kids have too many clothes and that I need to cut back so that I have to do the laundry every week or we all go naked. So I told the kids that they got to pick out their 10 favorite shirts and pants. That's it and it was easy. I'll have to let you know how well it works or if I am just shooting myself in the foot with this idea. Hopefully the laundry never looks like this again, but then I always think to myself, never say never...
